Horizontal and Vertical Reorchestration with Seamless Loops

For this project, our final objective was to craft seamless musical loops and tailored horizontal and vertical reorchestration, ready for integration into a game engine using audio middleware like Wwise or FMOD. We used 10 diverse game situations in our choice.

This game is set in the medieval era of Japan, and our main character is a Samurai/Ninja.

•Start New Game.
•Puzzle Solving .
•Exploration Open World Music.
•Stealthy Infiltration in an Enemy Stronghold.
•Tension/Suspenseful Chase or Escape.
•Combat.
•Boss Fight.
•Victory Celebration Game Completed.

I made sure to include ethnical instruments, like the Shakuhachi (which I used as a Stinger for the game), Kotos, Sanshins, Hyōshigis, and Taikos among others... to set the listener in this region and time.

For the combat phase, I decided to mix these traditional elements with some aggressive metal tracks, to boost the thrill and emotion of the moment, and finally end with epic orchestral and cinematic music during the climax of the boss fight.

Additionally, I connected each loop and Instrument tracks, giving it sense as a single piece all at once in Reaper:
